I get that feeling too...just wanting to be in a pub with good friends and this band playing.

I think it's especially good since there is so much crappy music out there. It's rare that a band come out with an album where ALL of the songs (from start to finish) are worth listening to.

No, no, I can't afford to be the mayor of the 407! I know it's hard to believe, but I've done the yearly math on that trip as well and some people don't even make that much a year.
That's who that is? Interesting. I've only seen him in gritty youtube videos looking up at a mic and singing, lol. I think he perfectly depicted a whiskey drinking, cheese eating all around good guy :)

I can't understand extremists like this. So what? I'd say people who are too overally religious need to find other things to take up their time. This must be the era to hate Muslims/Middle Eastern people/Islam, because they have terrible figures (who are revered, not scolded!).

Re: Insanity in Islam?

FUCK ISLAM, KILL EVERY GOAT FUCKING ONE OF THEM.

Re: Insanity in Islam?

I love the cartons he drew, he should of had him drinking a beer at a strip joint or smelling another dogs ASS!!!

Re: Insanity in Islam?

The issue is not about religious etiquette. It is about how we should define good and evil, and then live within these principles, these vows.

I define good as that which nurtures the freedom of life, and evil is that which coerces and controls life. Therefore, we must learn to listen to life in order to determine what nurtures freedom and what results in coercion and control. In so doing, a morality emerges from this listening.

God did not invent morality; God listened to life and from that listening morality emerged. Because we fail to listen, we fail to live morally. To live according to religious documents (e.g. Koran, Hadith, Bible) or government documents (e.g. US Constitution) is not to live as God lives.

Listening is a function of communication. Communication is when intention equals impact; MIScommunication is when intention does NOT equal impact. Only through the process of listening can we make sure that communication happens. Listening is one way we do good.

Anyone who uses God's name to coerce and control life (rather than listening to life) abuses God, and this is far worse than making fun of any of God's prophets.

Re: Insanity in Islam?

I too agree with your sentiment. The word "submission" should be replaced with "bondage" or "slave" instead. Islam, the "religion of peace" is one awfully destructive and suffocating religion. I think were we to talk to Muhammed the prophet in person, he would not recognize what goes for Islam today.

I would encourage you to withdraw the profanity as it detracts from the power of your message. There are ample colorful, descriptive vocabulary words in the English language one can use to more forcefully illustrate your argument.
